I remember my first time going to this bar and wondering where in the heck I was going. ha! Barcocina is a little tricky, but luckily I’m here to help you so you don’t make the same mistakes I did!
The Layout – There are two bathroom areas and if the bar is really packed and it’s your first time there’s very little way of knowing about both of them. The first is close to when you walk in. It’s a single private room very bright mostly white interior. Many people think that this is the only restroom. Now, if you go to the back of the bar, on the opposite side, you’ll see a random line that leads to a hallway. It is the random line, my friend, that leads to the actual bar capacity restrooms. Avoid the front bathroom and go for these. The interior is pretty nice, light tile floors, walls that a half white tile and half wood. The sinks are modern and the opening for the trash can is built into the sink counter top. Pretty swanky for a bar bathroom. The mirror is wide but alas not floor length. When will bars realize that people want to see their whole fit?! There’s about 5 or 6 of these co-ed private rooms.
The Cleanliness – I’m not sure if I always get lucky or if they just monitor the rooms to keep them clean but I normally don’t have any complaints. I mean there’s normal bar bathroom stuff, a tissue here, a paper towel there but nothing crazy.
The Line – So if you mess up and go to the bathroom in the front, “you’re gonna have a bad time”. The line is normally crazy. The line in the back is not the shortest either but depending on the time, there’s a bathroom bouncer there to orchestrate things. He’s super helpful!
Powder room rating – 7/10 I would give it 8, but the confusion on where the actual bathrooms are pissed me off.
